Eric Bloxom Obituary
Eric Wayne Bloxom, 60, husband of Cheryl Lynn Bloxom and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024. Born October 26, 1963 in Nassawadox, VA, he was the oldest child and only son born to the late Howard Marvin Bloxom and Carol Cutler Wright.
Eric worked as a maintenance technician in the poultry industry and particularly enjoyed his time with Perdue Farms. He was a member of Drummondtown Baptist Church, having attended every Sunday, along with his wife, over the last several years. Known as the Hunting Creek "dockmaster," he rarely missed an evening ride to oversee things at the dock and make certain all was in order. Outside of his family, there were not many things Eric loved more than hunting, and he spent as much time as possible doing just that.
In addition to his wife, Eric is survived by his daughters, Erica Williams (Steven) of Atlantic, VA, Tyler Bloxom of Parksley, and Michaela Bloxom of Onancock, VA; sisters, Candy Alward (George) and Dana Bloxom, all of Atlantic; grandchildren, Bella and Gracie Williams; nephew and niece, Ian and Maggie Alward; sister-in-law, Lou Ann Lewis and her family; his pot bellied pig, Roxanne, who he called his "other woman;" cat, Mini; and countless friends.
A service to celebrate Eric's life will be held at Drummondtown Baptist Church on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Dr. David Denny officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eric's memory may be made to Drummondtown Baptist Church, P.O. Box 282, Accomac, VA 23301, to benefit their stained glass window restoration.
Memory tributes may be shared with the family at www.williamsfuneralhomes.com.
