Eric John Bristol

Eric John Bristol of Highlands, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at the age of 77, just six months after the passing of his beloved wife, Emily "Dianne" Bristol.

Eric was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, businessman, and friend. For more than 30 years, he and Dianne owned and operated SWCI, Inc., building not only a successful company but a legacy of hard work, integrity, and commitment that will endure for generations.

Eric was a man who worked hard and lived large. In his youth, he spent treasured time on his grandfather's farm, proudly riding his red tractor and tending to his horses. A cowboy at heart, Eric carried a lifelong love for Western culture. He found joy in classic Western films, especially those starring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, whose grit and strength reflected much of Eric's own spirit.

Above all, Eric loved his family. He was a steady presence, a provider, and a man who was never afraid of hard work. Even in his final days, his love for his family remained evident and unwavering.

Though he will be deeply missed, Eric's legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the business he built, and the many lives he touched through his strength, generosity, and enduring cowboy spirit.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne; his daughter Quila; and his mother, Alice Christley.

Eric leaves behind a loving family: his daughter Danielle Ramdial (husband Jude) of Long Island, NY and Elizabeth Davidson (husband Buddy) of Crosby, TX; his cherished grandchildren Xavier, Hope, Noah and Cadence; Marcus Jr. and Julie; his sisters Sharon Moore, Leann Christley (wife Debbie), Sheilagh Landi and his brother Robert Bristol.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:00am at Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel in Highlands, Texas. Visitations on the same day from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Eric lived a life surrounded by the people and passions that he loved. He was a great man who will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
