Eric M Britt

Eric M. Britt, age 52, of North East, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 30th, at his home.

He was born to Patricia Broadhead Britt and the late Richard M. Britt in Royal Oak, Michigan on February 11, 1973.

Eric was diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic at the age of 11 months. Though the years of treatment for diabetes changed and, as he grew older, Eric faced many challenges in his life.

Eric was a DJ for over 30 years, DJing at Speedez and Jamin Vine in North East and Sullivans, Park Place, Scully's, Colony, Scallywags and the Cove in Erie along with weddings and other special events. Eric was a volunteer fireman in North East, first with Cresent Hose, then Brookside and lastly Fuller Hose. Diabetic issues forced him to retire, and he was made an "Honorary". He loved following in his Grandpa Broadhead's fireman's footsteps.

He loved spending time with his only son, Jordan and in the Summer liked to go fishing off the pier in Erie. Eric is also survived by his brothers Stephen and Christopher Britt.

In addition to his father, Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jerry and Mary Broadhead, paternal grandparents, H. Merritt and Emma Britt and his mother's brother, Uncle Gary Broadhead.

Eric wanted his ashes to be spread in various areas "around the world" and his son Jordan will take on that task.
