Eric James Chrysler, born on November 7, 1992, in Metairie, Louisiana, left this world on August 16, 2024, at his residence. He was a cherished soul with a vibrant spirit, whose big-heartedness, gentle nature, and playful silliness touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was a protector, a confidant, and a true friend, always displaying his intelligence and creativity.
He attended The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek in Seymour in his early years and later at Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford. His passion for music was undeniable; he played the piano and guitar, as a self-taught musician who embraced songwriting and poetry. With his artistic flair, Eric left his mark through his creations, demonstrating a depth of emotion that resonated deeply with those around him.
Eric's life was defined not only by his talents and pursuits but also by his family. He is survived by his beloved mother, Tiffany (Henderson) Chrysler of Seymour, Indiana; his dear son, Ryker Cooper of Scottsburg, Indiana, and his precious daughter, Khloe Grace Chrysler of Brown County, Indiana. Eric was a devoted brother to his sisters, Ashley Whipple and her husband Richard of Maryland, Nichole Hedges of Depew, New York, and Rachel Hedges Mandel of Lancaster, New York. Also his soulmate, Heather Acton of Oolitic, Indiana and her sons Nichols and Kilian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Chrysler. Eric's legacy will live on through his children, who carry forward the essence of their father's kindness, creativity, and joy for life. As a man who embodied the spirit of a big kid at heart, Eric will be sorely missed yet fondly remembered for the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the art he created.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Seymour Chapel with funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM. Pastor Larry Arrowood and Gayle Skaggs will officiate.
