Scott Chrysler

Scott David Chrysler, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

He was born on April 10, 1965 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Martha (Westerman) Chrysler. He is preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Chrysler.

Scott was a free-spirited, energetic, and caring soul who never let go of his inner child. He moved through life with curiosity, humor, and a genuine love for people, leaving lasting impressions everywhere he went. There was never a moment of silence when Scott was in the room.

In his early adulthood, Scott proudly served as a medic in the Army Corps, a role that reflected his compassion and dedication to helping others. After his service, he attended electrician school to build a future. However, Scott found the greatest joy in work that matched his social and playful spirit. Over the years, he worked at Bank One, Robbins Roost roller skating rink, the Louisville Zoo’s Lorikeet Landing, and Bowman Field Liquors, U of L Hospital Security and then as a Tech in the psychiatric unit, Mike's Carwash, Ten Pin Bowling Alley, Dollar General, Door Dash and Uber but most recently delivering catering orders for his son Brandon at Qdoba, which he thoroughly enjoyed, gaining lifelong stories and making friends at every stop along the way.

Above all else, his favorite job was being a dad to his three wonderful children. He loved them fiercely, reaching out often, and always striving to spend quality time with them as often as possible. His family’s core memories in life were made possible by him: staying up late watching MASH*, or Whose Line is it Anyways?, camping with his boys in scouts, chasing hot air balloons, and gathering his family for derby parties and football games.

Scott was a second dad to his children’s significant others and friends, always asking how they were doing and making them laugh, his sense of humor is proudly inherited by his children.

He could often be found at Bon Air Tavern or Air Devils Inn, enjoying a Jim Beam and Coke and winning games of pool. Scott brought a lot to the table, humor, warmth, and generosity, and if you were lucky, one of his blue cheeseburgers, or artichoke casserole, taco salad, and his award-winning chili.

Scott should be remembered for his open heart and for how welcoming and caring he was to everyone he met. The only thing he loved more than having a good time was the people he shared it with. He was also very loyal to the Jacksonville Jaguars, always cheering them on, and in honor of Scott, please continue praying that they will one day win the Super Bowl.

Scott is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra (Lochner) Chrysler, son, Garrett Michael Chrysler (Jordan Sharp), daughter, Sabrina Renee Lochner, son, Brandan Chrysler, mother, Martha (Westerman) Chrysler Hoskins (Joseph William Brennan), siblings, Todd Chrysler, Vicki Jo Chrysler, Henry Dove (Nancy) and his beloved dog, Luna.

Scott was cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm at All Peoples, a Unitarian Universalist Congregation (4936 Brownsboro Rd, Louisville, KY 40222).
