Eric John Devlin

My deepest condolences on the passing of Eric. He will be remembered as a genuine and caring person. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time. Godspeed, Eric.

Eric will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone in our family. His commitment to protecting our planet, his kindness to animals, his great sense of humor and his intellectual curiosity were greatly admired and appreciated. He was one of the few people that we would entrust the care of our cats to--knowing that he would be kind and patient with them and that he would be vigilant in their care. We will never forget when he showed up with a machete to help us destroy a monster Rosa multiflora that had taken over our side yard and that had climbed into a tree and onto the telephone wires. It took us all a couple of days of work but we never could have done it without Eric. I always looked forward to talking with Eric about gardening and am grateful for the plants he shared with me, as well as his deep horticultural knowledge. We send our love to all of Eric's family and friends and will honor his memory in our hearts.

I will greatly miss Eric. He helped me in many ways transition onto the Melrose Conservation Commission. He wore his passion for conservation on his sleeve. I pray for Eric and his family and friends at this time of sorrow
