Remembering Eric~

Born on September 5, 1960, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York, Eric W. Endres was the son of William and Mary Endres. Eric grew up alongside his four siblings, Kirk, Mark, Craig, and Alysia, and learned the value of hard work from his parents

His professional life began at age 16 at a Tops store in Elmira. After moving to Rochester at 18, he took a job at KMart. A turning point came at age 20 when he was accepted into the electrical apprenticeship program at Kodak. He would go on to work at Kodak for 45 years as a highly respected and knowledgeable electrician, a very dedicated employee.

While at Kodak, Eric met his future wife, Mary Beth. They married in 1982 at St. Columba Church in Caledonia, New York.

Together, they raised three children, Tyler, Erika, and Brett.

Outside of work and family, Eric had several passions. He began lifting weights consistently at age 16. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini.

His musical tastes included classic rock bands like Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Rush.

Eric also loved classic John Wayne movies and watched a variety of television shows, including This Old House, NASCAR, football, tennis, and March Madness, and he enjoyed movies like the John Wick series, No Country for Old Men, and Lawless.

As a family man, Eric was devoted to providing for his loved ones, sometimes picking up extra shifts or working holidays for additional income.

Eric's greatest challenges came later in life when a cancer diagnosis impacted his ability to do the things he loved, such as gardening, yard work, and lifting weights. His biggest inspirations were his wife, children, and his father. His legacy is carried on by his wife, children, and grandchildren. He instilled a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a focus on family in his children, along with his unique sense of humor.

Eric was a man of few words, but his words carried importance or humor. He was a straightforward and honest person and was truly the glue of his family. He disliked being the center of attention or talking about his feelings. What Mary Beth will miss most is his ability to make her laugh, even when she was in a bad mood. Eric will be terribly missed by his family and friends.
