Eric Jason Everson, 53, of McMechen, WV, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born January 18, 1972, the son of the late Robert and Marilyn (Schambach) Everson.

Eric was a Heavy Equipment Operator at the TrufCare Industries, of Martins Ferry. He also worked at the Lebanon Correctional Institution for 25 years, and 2 years at the Belmont County Correctional Institute. Eric was Methodist by faith, he was a beloved father, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. Eric was an avid Ohio State and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Even though your heart was physically broken, your spirit was not. You always had time for your sister, sons, nephews, and niece, Marissa. You will be missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Everson, and brother-in-law, Anthony J. "Tony" Lagon.

Left to cherish his memory, are his sister; Gail "Debbie" Lagon of Bridgeport, sons; Trenton Everson of Heidelberg, and Sammy Everson of Cincinnati, nephews; Robbie Everson of Columbus, Justin Lagon of Tiltonsville, niece; Marissa Lagon of Bridgeport, great-nephew, Bryce Lagon, ex-wife; Barb Miller, and his fur baby and home companion; Alley.

Family and Friends will be received on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 11 till time of service at 1pm with Rev. Rod Kasler officiating at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912. Burial will follow at Belmont Memorial Gardens, St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
