Eric Edward Halberstadt

DATELINE: TECUMSEH, MICHIGAN Eric Edward Halberstadt, age 66, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away August 4, 2024 at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital, Trenton, Michigan.
He was born May 1, 1958, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of George and Evalyn (Wright) Halberstadt. On July 7, 1979, he married Renata Szymanski in Tecumseh, MI. She survives.
Eric was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1976. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, Saline Plant, with 30 years of service. Eric was a Boy Scout Leader in Tecumseh, Michigan, where he shared his love of fishing, boating, camping, cooking, and his passion for the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his his parents and sister, Laura.
In addition to his wife Renata, he is survived by, two sons, Matthew (Nick Hathaway) Halberstadt and Alex (Megan) Halberstadt; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ian, Adeline, and Grace Halberstadt, brother, Gene (Maria) Halberstadt; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024 at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Michigan with Reverend Connie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Garden, Tecumseh, Michigan. Visitation will also take place Friday, August 9, 2024 at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Michigan, from 11:00 a.m until time of funeral service.
