Eric David Helman

Eric David (Rick) Helman, age 59, wonderful son and caring soul passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, July 21st, 2023.
Rick was born on April 5th, 1964, to his mother, Connie Helman and his father, Peter Helman in Elkhart, Indiana. His mother unfortunately passed away when Rick was nineteen. Peter married Janell in 1987 and she became a loving special member of the family.
Rick excelled in everything he did; he did exceptional in school and was an all-around sports star. He graduated with honors from Tulane University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He joined the Sigma Chi fraternity and became one the kitchen Chefs. Rick had a passion for his family, cooking, reading, computer design and music. Rick spent just over 35 years working in the Millwork Design and Manufacturing industry, the majority working in the family Millwork business in New Jersey. His creativity and passion for design exceeded his customers' expectations. He lived in Phoenix most of his childhood and moved to New Jersey to work in the family business for 25 years. He moved to Atlanta, GA to take an architectural engineering design position and remained in GA until his death.
Rick is survived by his father (Peter) and mother (Janell), his brother Mark (Caroline) and their three children Nicholas, Sarah, and Samantha Helman who adored their Uncle Rick. His family and friends will miss him. The family will hold a Celebration of Life early August.
