Eric Lee Hildebrand, 60, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his home in Jackson, MI. Eric's family and friends will gather from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. His Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Cusimano will officiate. Burial of ashes will take place at 2:45 p.m. at Roseland Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. He was born on August 13, 1965, in Jackson, MI, to Doran Hildebrand and Sandra Neigebauer. Eric graduated from Columbia Central High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1987. Eric spent his career as a semi-truck driver, where he drove just shy of 3 million miles in total and was very proud of every mile driven. He traveled to every state, except Hawaii, through his truck driving career. Eric loved going to the demolition derby, watching the Michigan Wolverines, playing cards and woodworking. He also, had a love for Alaska, which he visited last year. Eric got baptized recently at Cascade's Baptist Church, where he attended for the last year. His true passion was his family. Eric devoted all his time and effort to being involved in his grandchildren's lives and making sure he didn't miss an event. He was his grandkids biggest fan on the sidelines. He loved his dog, Lila and his cat, Opa, who were part of the family. If you needed help, Eric would be there for you and if you entered his home, you were family. Everyone loved him for his love, devotion and support. Eric will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Eric will be missed by his children, Nicole (Justin) Whitney, Tiffany (Michael) Moody, Derrick (Mariah) Hildebrand and his step-daughter, Elizabeth Kyle; his parents, Sandra Neigebauer and Doran (Joan) Hildebrand; his siblings, Brian, Erin, Phillip, Tara and Daryl; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gavin, Kaiden, Elzabella, Zoey, Brynlee and Bridger; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Dale Neigebauer. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with final expenses c/o Eineder Funeral Homes: 820 Fifth St., Michigan Center, MI 49254.
