ERIC JAMES JANZEN

ERIC JAMES JANZEN Elbing - Eric James Janzen (30) was born on November 23, 1993 in Newton, Kansas to Bruce and Jeannine (Spicher) Janzen. He was a 2012 graduate of Frederic Remington High School, Whitewater, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a member of Zion Mennonite Church in Elbing, Kansas. He moved to Glendale, Arizona in 2016, and began working for Walmart on an overnight remodeling crew. After several promotions, he transferred to Junction City, Kansas in April of this year, where he worked in a salaried Coach position. Eric passed away in his home in Junction City on October 27, 2024. He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Jeannine Janzen of Elbing, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law Alison and Kevin Hickman and nephew Caleb of Johnstown, Ohio; 4 Aunts; 4 Uncles; and 7 cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Doris Spicher and Herman and Ruth Janzen, and Aunt Julie Hedine. Family visitation will be on Friday, November 8, at 6:008:00 pm at Zion Mennonite Church, Elbing, Kansas. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 am at Zion Mennonite Church. It will be live-streamed on YouTube. A meal will follow the service. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Zion Mennonite Church.
