Eric Vaughn Kratzer II

Eric Vaughn "Bubba" Kratzer II, 35, of Otway went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born September 17, 1990 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Eric and Lynn Kratzer of Otway. Also surviving are his sister, Victoria Kratzer (Jamie) Veach of Otway; nephew, Gavin Payne of Ironton; grandmothers, Shelby Kratzer of Otway and Alma Whitt of Portsmouth; and great aunts and great uncle, Mary (Charles) Mershon, Sheila Nelson, John Nelson, Karen Kratzer and Patricia Cox; as well as bonus family, Bryce, Ezra and Maddy Veach. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ralph Kratzer and Jack Whitt along with many other family members and Beech Fork church family.
Eric was a 2012 graduate of the Vern Riffe School and a member of Beech Fork Church. To know him was to love him, his smile lit up the room and his laughter was contagious. Eric loved to shop, go out to eat, go to church, listen to music, derbys, and he especially loved his Ohio State Buckeyes. The family would like to thank Bernita Corporation for the love and care Eric received. He was loved and spoiled by so many.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Beech Fork Church in Otway with Pastors Tom Brown and Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Koenig Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the church and requests you wear your favorite OSU gear. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Manna from Heaven Food Pantry at Beech Fork Church because Bub sure liked to eat!
