Your presence brought warmth, laughter, and light to everyone around you. Losing you has left an emptiness that words can’t begin to fill. I will always remember your kindness, your humor, and the way you made people feel seen and valued. Though you’re no longer with us in body, your spirit will live on in every life you touched.

Eric, I think back to middle school waiting for the bus with you and how you'd all make us laugh and smile even so early in the morning. I remember you quoting George Carlin and just being overall so bright and witty. Eric was one of my favorite students of all time. He was enthusiastic about every aspect of classroom activity: learning, creating, and engaging with his peers. I called him Massar, and when I saw him several years ago at Smoky Oak, he told loved the nickname. Such a wonderful human being whose life affected so many others.
