Eric David Ogar was born on April 2,1954 and he left us much too soon on May 19, 2025, at 71 years of age.
There are no words which can truly capture all the intricate and beautiful things about the person that he was, but to all that knew him, the warmth of his smile and his loving personality were a great comfort. He lived his life for others, largely his two daughters and six grandchildren, who were the highlight of his life. He filled the hearts and lives of those close to him with amusing stories, roaring laughter and the most abundant love. If you were fortunate enough to have been around him and to have been loved by him there was no greater feeling, as he gave his love so freely and unconditionally. He was fiercely loyal, and for those who he cared about, he was always there for you no matter the situation or time, he always had your back. He would do so many small things in the service of others, that meant the world to those around him.
He was a passionate Toronto sports fan, although the Leafs and Jays disappointed him on many occasions, he never gave up watching them or cursing at them. From the time that his daughters were young and started playing softball up until the present when he would drive all over the greater Houston area to various ballparks to watch his grandchildren play, he was a beloved regular at the ballpark.
He was a father, a son, a grandfather, a husband, a friend, a great chef, and an avid reader amongst so many other things in his life. Overall, he was a genuinely compassionate, intelligent and complex person. He will be greatly missed but will live on in all the wonderful memories he made, with all whose lives he touched.
Eric was preceded in death by his father Joseph Patrick Ogar. Eric is survived by his mother Jessica Ogar, brother Larry Christie, the mother of their children Nola Prieto, his two children Tasha Chance and Katerina Ogar, his six grandchildren, Connor and Isabella Chance, and Ezra, Maia, Silas and Ophelia Cano and many dear lifelong friends.
There will be a viewing held on May 26th for his close family, and he will be subsequently cremated. At a time yet to be determined there will be a celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, please just take a moment to remember all those who are important to you and whom you love and make sure you let them know. Tell a funny joke or story you remember about Eric and think of him fondly, as his memory lives on in those he leaves behind.

Kat,
I am so sorry for your loss. I didn´t know your dad that long. But everytime I saw him he was always so nice and funny. And it felt like we knew each other for years. We enjoyed having him at the baseball games and watching the smile on his face when he played. with his grand children. He enjoyed the game and his grand babies. He will be missed . May God give you strength to get through this. Your Pressure family is here for you.
Myra
