Eric James Primm was born April 20, 1966, in New Jersey, the son of James and Kathleen (O’Briody) Primm. He attended United Township High School and spent his career as a dedicated truck driver, retiring from Gress Trucking in East Moline in October 2024 due to his health.
He was a man of many passions. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, painting and drawing, and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He also had a love for music and played bass guitar. A man of deep faith, Eric found strength in reading the Bible and had a strong belief in Jesus Christ.
Eric is survived by his mother, Kathleen Stone of Laughlin, Nevada; a son, Jeremy Primm and his children; Summer Helms, who was like a daughter to Eric; Damien Morris, who was like a son to Eric; two sisters, Heather Primm and Mary Schumann; his beloved anut, Mary Primm; and many good friends, including “Miss Shirley” Hajostek, Jack (Jane) Copeland and Carol (Dave) Harris Leingang.
Special thanks go out to everyone at MercyOne Genesis Hospice and Clarrisa C. Cook Hospice House for the wonderful care given to Eric, as well as to Gress Trucking for continuing to support him after he got sick.
