Eric Scott Raymond, age 52, of Fairlawn, Ohio, passed away on April 9, 2024. He was born on April 19, 1971, in Akron, Ohio, and spent his life in the area he called home.

Eric was quiet and reserved by nature, with a quirky personality and a dry, understated sense of humor that revealed itself in small, unexpected moments. He cared deeply about the things that mattered most to him, especially his mother, and those closest to him knew his loyalty and concern ran deep, even if he did not always express it outwardly. He graduated from Ellet High School and worked for 18 years as a factory worker at Cell-O-Core, where he was known as dependable and consistent in his work. Eric also attended The Chapel, where he found community and spiritual support.  Eric had a lifelong love of cars, taking particular pride in his Mustang. He was also a devoted sports fan and followed the Cleveland Indians with unwavering enthusiasm.

Eric was preceded in death by his brother, James Brian Raymond. He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Christine Raymond; his sister, Robin Raymond-O’Donnell (Edward O’Donnell); his step-nephew, Matt O’Donnell; his cousins, Brenda Albanese (Mike) and Sharon Walters; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Eric will be remembered for his quiet presence, his subtle humor, and the simple loyalties that defined his life.
