Eric Louis Reasons, 56, of Boonville, MO, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2025.

Eric was born in Kansas City, MO, on November 15, 1968, to Wayne Reasons and Emma Jean (Machin) Webb. He grew up in Columbia, MO, and made Boonville his home after moving there in 1999.

On most occasions, you could find Eric spending time with his two sons, Anthony and Shawn. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching the Chiefs, and he was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need. Even at the worst of times, he always had a smile on his face and loved to make others laugh.

Eric is survived by his sons, Anthony Reasons (Desi) and Shawn Beach-Reasons; his brothers, Wayne, Raymond, Darren, and Scott Reasons (Kim); his sister, Shannon Flaherty (Rob); and his stepsister, Starla Acton. He was a proud grandfather to Chloe and eagerly awaited the arrival of his grandson. He was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family would especially like to acknowledge Eric's best friend, Pam Beach, whose steadfast friendship and support blessed his life for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Valeri Brock; his nephew, Cameron Reasons; and his stepfather, Russell Miller. A private cremation will take place, and Eric's ashes will be interred with his mother at Columbia Cemetery and also scattered in his most treasured hunting and fishing spots.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Howard-Millard Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard-Millard Funeral Home, 1397 Ashley Rd., Boonville, Mo 65233 (660) 882-3381. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.howardfh.com.
