ERIC R. RODRIGUEZ

RODRIGUEZ, Eric R. Of Middleborough, passed away in his home after a long battle with head and neck cancer on December 29, 2021, at the age of 45. Born in Taunton and raised in Middleborough, Eric attended elementary school in Middleborough, attended St. Sebastian's Middle School in Needham and graduated from Coyle & Cassidy High School in Taunton. Eric received a bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford Art School and a master's from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Eric was a strong and arduous worker for ensuring handicap accessible pathways were available across the campus of University of Hartford. After graduating from college, Eric became a member of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute Patient Advisory Committee and also became co-chair on committees. Eric was a member of the Bridgewater Lions for many years, and most recently was president. Following his graduation from graduate school, Eric worked in graphic and web design. He designed and organized presentation media for international food shows around the country. Eric then founded Corgi Farms Specialty Foods, a cottage kitchen business. He specialized in jams, jellies, marmalades, dry meat rubs, and mustards, as well as gourmet hot chocolate mixes and mulling spices. He is survived by his parents, Anita M. (Fantasia) and Angelo E. Rodriguez of Middleborough; his sister Carrie Ann Huntley and her husband Brian of New York; and his nephew Ethan. Eric is also survived by his beloved corgi, Charlotte. Funeral from Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28) on Wednesday, January 5th at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church, High St., Wareham at 10:00 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday, January 4th from 4 - 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private. At the family's request, masks are required.
