Obituary of Eric Steinbach
Eric Steinbach passed away suddenly on April 24, 2025 at the age of 58. His loving family was at his side.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 21, 1967 to Frank R. and Marian I. Steinbach, Eric was a lifelong resident of Bucks County, PA until he met the love of his life and moved to New Jersey. Eric was a graduate of Bensalem High School and joined the workforce soon after. After working as a chef for several years, Eric changed course and went in a different direction career-wise. It was during his work as a secure money transporter that he met his sweetheart, Maria. Eric pulled off a great surprise and proposed to her on Christmas Eve 1996. They were married the following November. In 2001, Eric gained his most important and favorite job title – Dad – when his son, Phillip, was born.
Eric had a lot of varied interests, but some of his tops were traveling with his family, watching NASCAR, attending rock concerts, and going to car shows with his son and friends. He was also an avid Raiders fan and tried to watch his team whenever he had the chance. Spending time with his wife and son was always important to him. Eric had a big heart and could always be depended on to do whatever he could to help his family and friends in need. Words to best describe Eric are: caring, loyal, reliable, and strong. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Eric is survived by his beloved wife nearly 28 years, Maria (née Carnevale); incredible son, Phillip; father, Frank, Sr; sister, Kathleen DiEugenio; brother Frank (Susan) Steinbach, Jr; parents-in-law, Franco and Lucia Carnevale; sister-in-law Clara Pascarella; brother-in-law Frank (Kate) Carnevale; nieces Gabrielle (Ashleen) DiEugenio, Corrine (Matt) Conard, Gabriell (Jerry) Esposito, and Sabrina Pascarella; nephews James DiEugenio, Peter (Liz) Steinbach, and Franco Carnevale. He is also survived by his cherished great niece & great nephews. Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Steinbach, and his brother-in-law, Joseph DiEugenio.
A celebration of Eric's life will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A brief service will be held at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow.
Interment will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eric's memory can be made to the Diabetes Foundation (https://diabetesfoundationinc.org/get-involved/ways-to-give).
