Eric Stempinski Obituary
To say that Eric loved life would be an understatement. He was a kind and creative soul with a heart as vast as the ocean. As a humanitarian, visionary and fan of all things soccer, his interests and passions took him all over the world. He worked with organizations fighting human trafficking in Haiti and rode the train throughout India while working to provide stable environments for at-risk children. Eric's passion for soccer led him to work with UAE Pro League Clubs to launch summer football camps in Abu Dhabi. With all of the countries that Eric traveled to and lived in, Brazil held a special place in his heart. São Paulo, Fortaleza, or Florianopolis could not hold a candle to Rio de Janeiro. He enjoyed the culture, the people, the beaches, the food and the nightlife. It was Eric's happy place. How appropriate that he said goodbye in the place he considered his home. He will be missed not only by his family but the friends he has made all over the world.
Cherished son of Patricia (Debbie Carr) Murray and Edward (Phyllis) Stempinski. Beloved brother of Edward (Dana) Stempinski. Devoted uncle of Natalie, Sophia and Katherine. Loving nephew of Jackie (John) Kradzinski, dear cousin of Breanne (Sean) Lee and John (Jill) Kradzinski.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday Evening, February 4th, from 5 - 8 PM at T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home, 11010 Knights Rd. There will be an additional viewing on Monday morning, February 5th, from 9 - 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 11 AM at Our Lady of Calvary Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eric's name may be made to the Tony Sanneh Foundation, www.thesannehfoundation.org or to New Light, www.newlightindia.org. To share a memory of Eric, please visit www.tjfluehr.com.

I met Eric back in 2001, we were friends right away! He took me to a soccer game and told me about his entrepreneur goals. I had the pleasure of knowing him for that small period of time and I have nothing but fond memories. He was one of those people that I unfortunately drifted away from, and not too long ago he popped into my mind then I found out the sad news. The world lost a sweet and amazing soul.

Eric was a senior when I was a freshman at UWM.
His East Coast Swagger, Stylish threads, and his humor made him attractive to so many.
I remember him as "The Life of the Party..."
So sad for all who were close to him. Another good soul, gone too early.

I met Eric through UWM soccer...he was so revered and such a special soul. A true loss for anyone that knew Stempo. RIP my friend.
