Erica Johnson, 60, of Athens, gained her Heavenly wings on Tuesday April 23rd. Erica was born on August 29, 1963, in Knoxville, TN. She has served her community as a paramedic since starting her career in 1984. She also served as a guard for TVA Watts Bar. She was the first female in the McMinn County Rescue Squad and one of the first 12 employees hired at Hamilton County EMS.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert S. Littleton.
Left to carry on her legacy, loving husband Eric Johnson, Sons Brian (Maizey) Johnson, Brandon (Amanda) Johnson, and granddaughters Harlee and Harper. She is also survived by her mother Janet Littleton, brother Robert (Melisa) Littleton and their son Tristan (Beth) Littleton, numerous other extended family members a host for coworkers past and present and special friends.
Even though her health declined over the last few years, she continued to serve others.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Woodward Avenue Church of God located at 507 Woodard Avenue in Athens, TN. A service celebrating her life will follow at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating. The interment will follow in the Loudon Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
