Erica Marie Norwood

Erica Marie Norwood , age 76 of Holland Tx, passed away on January
29, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at Baylor Scott and White in
Temple Tx. She was born June 19, 1949 in Salzburg Austria to Victor and
Sofia Michalenko of Austin Tx. She married Terry Norwood on
07/20/1973 in Salado Tx. Erica was a homemaker and took great pride
in caring for her home, she loved shopping, gardening, and enjoyed
capturing pictures of the sunset and nature, she also found great joy in
writing poetry and doing puzzles, but her greatest joy in life were her
children and family. She loved this country and took great pride in her
freedom in becoming an American citizen at a young age after her
family immigrated to the United States from Austria in 1951. She was a
loving wife, mother and friend to her children, grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. Erica was preceded in death by her parents of Austin Tx,
Brother Michael L. Michalenko of Austin TX, sisters Hilda Howard of
Killeen Tx, Angie Wylie of Austin Tx, Infant baby Girl. She is survived by
her husband Terry L. Norwood of Holland Tx, Robert Norwood-Inman
and wife Melissa of Lorena Tx, Kathy Wiktorek and husband Tim of
Harrisburg NC, Jody Norwood and wife Jennifer of Harker Height Tx,
Kelley Lord of Temple TX, and Kimberley Norwood of Denton Tx.
Grandchildren: Austin, Hayden, Mason, Ericka, Josh, Sofia, Carter, Delilah, Susie,
Marilyn, Anan. Great-Grandchildren: Jonah, Briella and baby boy due
May 2026, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Celebration of
life will be held in Salado Tx at Broecker Funeral Home on February 7,
2026, visitation will be 10-11 am funeral at 11 with graveside service to
follow at Salado Cemetery.
