Obituary of Erica J. Wendelberger
Erica J. Wendelberger, of St. Francis, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 63. Erica was born in Ladysmith, WI on November 12, 1960, the daughter of Harry and Maxine Linton.
Erica appreciated the simple things life has to offer. She loved taking long walks along Lake Michigan on sunny days and cuddling up with her guinea pigs on chilly nights. She always sought to spend as much time as possible with the people closest to her. Whether it was enjoying a night out, watching tv and movies at home, or simply chatting over the phone, as long as she was with her loved ones, she was happy.
Erica cherished her roles as a daughter, sister, and aunt, but her most treasured role was as the mother of her two children, Charlie and Megan. They were her proudest creation, the brightest light in her life, and the deepest joy in her heart. The love and time she devoted to them was the truest testament to her generosity and selflessness as a person.
Erica is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marcia, and her family guinea pigs Scooby and Mocha, all of whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her children, her sister Lisa (Dave) Gates, her niece Sarah (Mike) Vogds, and her adorable guinea pigs, Finn and Fergus.
The visitation for Erica will be held from 11:00am until the start of services at 1:00pm on Saturday January 20, 2024 at Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home 237 N Moreland Blvd Waukesha, WI 53188.
