Erich Ignaz Obojkovits went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on March 8, 1939 to Ignaz and Anne Obojkovits in Tobaz, Burgenland, Austria. When he was 19 years old he moved to New York. From 1961 to 1967 he served in the United States Army- Company A, 1st Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry. His Rank was Specialist 4th Class.
After his time in the Army he worked at Boar's Head meat company until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Carol Obojkovits (2007)
He is survived by two sons Erich Obojkovits (Bonnie) and Edward Obojkovits (Kerri) his wife Betty (Womack Pickens) Obojkovits and two daughters Ivy Graciano(Felipe) and Cynthia Pickens. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
2009 Erich and Betty married and moved to Northwest Arkansas where Erich enjoyed playing golf and was a faithful member of Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas. Erich was a wonderful man who brought joy to everyone around him. His love for the Lord shined through in everything he did. He will be sincerely missed by all those who knew him. An Open Casket graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort Smith at 12pm on Monday November 17 2025
