Erik Daquawn Mukhtar

Erik Daquawn Muhktar, age 25, departed this Earthly Life on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was born on January 13, 1998, to Eric Adams and Yamini Barnes in New Orleans, LA. He was an entrepreneur and a great father. He was a graduate of Kipp Renaissance in New Orleans, LA and after graduating, he began doing non-profit work for CEO Words. At the age of 19, he found a love for music, and became an independent rap artist going by the stage name "Young E-dot". Not long after his career began, he became a father to 2 handsome sons, Elijah and Emon Muhktar.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Antionette Barnes; great grandmother, Lela M. Adams; aunt, Michelle Adams; and cousin, Brandon Adams.
Erik leaves to cherish his memories his 2 sons, Elijah and Emon Mukthar; parents, Yamini Barnes and Eric Adams; 11 siblings, Danielle Gillard, Makayla Ratliff, Erykah, Erin, Emyrie, Eline, Elaina, and Eric, Jr, and Harlem Adams, Haley Jones, and Legacy Alexander; nephew, Kaison Gillard; grandparents, Yolanda Wilson, Aldolphus Wilson, Sr, and Myrtle Smith; bonus parents, Shawan Adams, Shenell Jones, Shanell Jackson, Deondra Bonds-Adams, and Dominique Alexander (Godfather); and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Friday, November 24, 2023, 1:00PM, at Professional Funeral Services, 1449 N. Claiborne Ave, NOLA. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the hour of service. Interment Private.
