In Loving Memory of Erika Alexia Gully (1986–2025)
The lord held her hand, and her spirit shines forever bright.
On a quiet morning, August 23, 2025, Erika Alexia Gully passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her life ended unexpectedly, her life ended too soon-we said goodnight and never had the chance to say good morning or say goodbye. She was 38 years old.
As a child, Erika was smart, happy, and athletic-full of laughter and love. She was funny, artistic, and so fun. As a teenager, she was bold, funny, and beautiful. She searched for acceptance and friendship, always wanting to belong, always wanting to be seen.
As a young woman, Erika found love and became a mother. Her son was perfect in her eyes, and she cherished being his mom. It was the role she held closest to her heart.
Erika's life was not easy. She faced poor health, battled addiction, wrestled with mental illness, and faced long stretches of loneliness. But she never stopped trying to rise.
She wanted to live. She wanted what we all want-love, connection, and a happy life.
Erika was kind, she had compassion and saw the invisible people-she did not judge.
Her journey was marked by struggle, her journey was also filled with moments of love and joy.
Erika was a daughter, a sister a mother an auntie a cousin, a niece, a granddaughter a friend. She was the sun and she was the storm.
She was imperfect, radiant, and real-and she will be missed more than words can say.
Erika You were loved more than you ever knew.
