Erika Margaret Wright

Erika M. Wright, 77, Vincennes, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, surrounded by family.

Erika was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Germany, to Maria and Robert Wunder.

She was a seamstress at KCARC for several years and retired from Vincennes Save-A-Lot.

She married Robert Wright on July 23, 1977, in Sullivan, and he survives.

Survivors include her daughters, Shannon Burgess (Tom), Susan Wright (Clay Carrie), and Elke Wright; grandchildren, Tana Phillips (Dillon), Bailey Welage (Zachary), Andrew Fossmeyer, Allyson Beckort, William Burgess, and Cooper Carrie; and two great-grandchildren, Camden Phillips and Wrenlyn Phillips. She is also survived by siblings, including a brother, Friedel Wunder (Erna), and a nephew, Thomas Hoefling (Kirsten), in Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Connie Pritchard.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wabash Valley Friendship Clubhouse.
