Erma Cameron

Erma Cameron, beloved mother, grandmother,great grandmother and friend too many, passed away on November 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Erma is survived by her four children, Sheryl, Darla, Michael, and Carrie, her three grandchildren, Chassy, Jason, and Cherish and her five great grandchildren, Isaac,Peyton, Caleb, Elizabeth and Emery.
She lived out most of her life in California before retiring in Ka'u district on Big Island,Hawaii in September 2011.
She loved her garden from flowers to tomatoes to even the butterflies that flitted about. She had a variety of jobs, but in her later years, she was mostly a caregiver for the elderly.
She loved her coffee in the mornings on her Hawaii lanai, listening to music, especially Elvis and of course her two beautiful cats, Bonjour, and Kiki. She enjoyed playing games with neighbors and friends Jonette and Eric Kiesow and her daughter Carrie. She enjoyed having company, especially if they brought her sweet treats. Her youngest daughter, Carrie stayed with her and in her ladder years, took care of her. Her son Michael also lives on the property and helped out. In May of this year Erma's daughter, Sheryl moved back to Hawaii to be close to her mom and spend as much time as possible with her as she was obviously declining over the last six months. Erma's other daughter Darla lives in California.
Although the family mourns her loss, we know she's in heaven and that gives us all peace knowing that we'll be together again one day. Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at The Glory House 92–1 719 Luau Dr., Ocean view HI 96737. Service will start at 10 AM. Bring a dish to share.
