STERLING - Ernest R. “Skip” Brown, Jr.,76, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 19, 2025, after a courageous journey with cancer. He fought his battle surrounded by family and close friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, having touched the lives of so many with his wisdom, kindness, and knowledge. His years of dedication in trucking, business ownership, and construction not only shaped a successful career but also instilled a deep appreciation for hard work and excellence in the trades.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Elaine, of 52 years, his son Michael and his wife Sandra. His grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Casey and her husband Kyle, and Jamie and his fiancé Brenna, and later Kimmy. His sisters, Deb Smith and Pat Trudeau, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family and celebrate his life on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A graveside service will be held privately at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ernest's name to the Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center, 275 Nichols Rd, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
