Ernest Frederick Collins

Ernest Frederick Collins, affectionately known as "Friend," passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 60. He was born on July 20, 1965, to the late Mary Alice Collins and William E. Collins. Ernest lived a life marked by kindness, encouragement, and a genuine love for people. He never met a stranger and carried with him a warm spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was preceded in death by his parents, but leaves to cherish his memory several cousins who were as close as sisters: Mary Frances Harp Britt, Savannah Ann Harp, and Mildred Louise Flagg. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law, Roy S. Flagg, Sr., and many other extended family and friends. Ernest enjoyed attending and watching wrestling matches, and he found great joy in striking up conversations wherever he went. Throughout his career, he worked at Walmart and Kroger, where his friendly personality touched both coworkers and customers alike. Above all, Ernest was known for his encouraging words, his kind heart, and his steadfast faith. Though he will be deeply missed, his family and friends find comfort in knowing he is now present with his Lord and Savior. Inurnment will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Red Oak Cemetery.
