Born in Berlin, VT on 10/28/68 to Ernest Edson, Sr and June Thurston Edson
Ernie lived in Brookfield, VT with Charlie & Sarah Ballou. He passed away on 10/26/21 at UVM Medical Center after a brief illness.
He loved watching sports on television, spending time with his cat, and talking with his mother on the phone every day. He had worked for J&M Landscaping Nursery & Garden Center after high school, and most recently at World Cup Supply in Bradford, VT. He enjoyed helping people whenever possible, be it around Charlie's horse farm or at the Randolph Food Shelf.
Ernie had a good sense of humor and was vested in the lives of others in his social circle, genuinely interested in how they were and what was happening in their lives. To those who took the time to get to know him, he was a good and caring friend, and he will be deeply missed.
Ernie was predeceased by his father. Survived by: Mother - June Erwin & husband David of Greenville, TN, Brother - Steven Edson of Johnson City, TN, Sister - Bonnie Brockstedt of St Petersburg, FL, Niece - Kierra Davis & children Aliana and Rhoan, St Petersburg, FL, Nephews: Jacob Sousa & girlfriend Emily Guemez, Moreno, CA, Jared Sousa & wife Star, children Jayce and Jared, Jr
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT and at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT for their compassionate and attentive care to Ernie through his time there. They would also like to thank Charlie and Sarah for opening their home and hearts to Ernie, and for providing a safe and stable place to call home for the past four years.
