Ernest D. Forcier

HOLYOKE Ernest D. Forcier, 80, of Holyoke, died Thursday September 1, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont son of the late Delphis and Viola (Provencher) Forcier, and was educated in Palmer Schools. Ernest was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1954 to 1958, and attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a retired Sales Coordinator at Standecks International Company of Palmer. Ernest is survived by his wife Catherine P. (Kozash) Forcier; a sister-in-law Mildred Krzanowski of Easthampton; a brother-in-law Henry Sepila of Chicopee; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30am from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., followed by Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, 1945 Northampton St. Holyoke, at 11:00am. Burial will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northampton. A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am.
