Ernest Scott Goff

Ernest "Ernie" Scott Goff, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away at the age of 80 on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Ocean Springs Hospital.
Ernie was born June 29, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Floyd Goff and Dorothy Jeter (Kuykendall). Ernest grew up in Texas and lived in England for a period of time after graduating from Wichita Falls High School. Upon his return to the United States, Ernest enlisted in the Army and served in the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart and a National Defense Service Medal.
After retiring from the military in October of 1966, Ernie lived life the way he wanted, simple, and quiet.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Goff, of Vancleave, MS, and Dorothy Jeter (Kuykendall), of Iowa Park, TX. He is survived by his daughters, who love him very much. Lenora "Charlie" Ferrer, and Leslie Beam (Jared); grandchildren, Madisyn Ferrer, Ashlyn, and Ayden Beam; and younger brother David Goff.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Vancleave RLDS, 12205 Mount Pleasant Road. The funeral service will start following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Private family burial and presentation of military honors to follow service.
