Ernest L. Head was born on April 9, 1936 to the late Wilbur and Evangel Head in Puxico, Missouri and passed away on November 4, 2025 in O’Fallon, Missouri at the age of 89.
On December 15, 1956, Ernest and Yolanda Calderon were united in marriage in New York, New York and were happily married until her passing on August 19, 2023.
Ernest spent most of his life living in St. Charles and attended Harvester Christian Church there. He took an interest in finance, genealogy, and baseball, as well as playing cards. Ernest was always a country boy at heart, he liked working on cars, and supervising the garden. He was very social and never met a stranger.
Ernest is survived by his son, Steven Head of Victoria, Texas, his grandkids, Joe, Mike, and Amber, 5 great grandkids, a brother, Thomas Head, of Columbus, Ohio, and a sister, Deloris Hebert, of Liberal, Missouri.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Yolanda, and a son, Gregory Head.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri beginning at 10 A.M.
