Ernest R. Hoes

Ernest Richard Hoes left his earthly home, for his heavenly home on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd at 11:00AM at Cook-Gerngross-Green Funeral Home in Rosebud, Rev. Don Fulton officiating. Visitation will be held 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, July 1st, at the funeral home. Ernest will be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud.
Ernest was born November 12, 1933 to Albert Hoes and Amanda Preusse Hoes.
He grew up in Rosebud, Texas, marrying Annie Mae Parker on June 22, 1953. They were married 59 years, until her death in 2012. He later married Glenda Gale Wojchowski on October 13, 2013. He was an active member of the New Salem Baptist Church. By trade he was a die maker for Container Corporation and several other box manufacturing companies in Fort Worth and East Texas. After retirement, he and wife Ann moved back to Rosebud, where he enjoyed vegetable gardening and raising cattle. He is proceeded in death by infant daughter, Lori Ann Hoes, brothers, Robert Hoes, Karl "Jack" Preusse and sister, Florine Violet Crawford. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Hoes of Rosebud, daughter Sherri Hoes Rampy and husband Troy of Fort Worth, one brother Albert Hoes, Jr. of Saginaw, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
