Ernest Hoffstaetter, Jr., a beloved family man and dedicated business owner, passed away peacefully at his home on February 26, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on July 29, 1946, in Queens, NY, Ernest made notable contributions to both his family and the community through his work and personal relationships.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Ernest exemplified the values of service and commitment throughout his life. After completing his education at Bay Shore High School, he further pursued studies as a paralegal, showcasing his dedication to knowledge and professionalism.

As the owner of Hoffstaetter Enterprises, Ernest established himself as a hardworking businessman, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his kindness and compassion towards others, traits that endeared him to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Ernest is remembered as a loving husband to Loretta and a devoted father to his son, Noah and a loving brother to his sister Carol Ann Hoffstaetter. His sense of humor, compassion, and unwavering support for his family created an environment filled with love and warmth.

Visitation services for Ernest Hoffstaetter, Jr. will take place on March 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY. Following the visitation, a burial service will be held at Saint John The Evangelist Cemetery in Riverhead at 1:30 PM.

Ernest’s legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will continue to resonate through the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
