Ernest Montone III

Ernest Montone, III, age 64, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on March 27, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, he was a lifelong resident of Williamstown.

Ernie was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1980. He worked for Monroe Township Public Works for over 25 years before retiring. He played baseball with the South Jersey Phillies for many years and enjoyed playing street hockey in his younger years. Ernie enjoyed collecting baseball cards and NASCAR memorabilia. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Miami Dolphins.

Devoted father of Christina Aguero (Stephan), Deanna Montone and Elizabeth Montone. Loving grandfather of Lyla and Lucas. Dear brother of Tina Asbridge, Ninette Orbaczewski (Dusty) and Francis Montone (Jennifer). Loving son of the late Ernest Montone, Jr. and the late Rita Montone. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Sunday, April 19th from 12:30 – 2:00 pm at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. Private inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Williamstown.
