CADL Local History
May 27, 2024
The Capital Area District Libraries Local History Department sends our deepest condolences to the family of Ernie Nostrant. Several years ago an MSU class came in to Local History to learn about processing archival materials, and one of the students chose a collection that turned out to be some of Ernie's materials from his automotive career. The student researched him and found that he was still alive. Ernie graciously met with the student and even sat for an oral history interview. We have an inventory of his collection and the oral history recording available for the public to access on the library web site: https://cadl.catalogaccess.com/archives/14857 and https://cadl.catalogaccess.com/archives/33884 It's clear Ernie lived a long life and made a contribution to the industry that put this area on the map. We hope happy memories live on in his absence.
