Ernest Radeff Obituary

Ernest S. Radeff, 88, a long-time resident of Avon Lake, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. He was born June 4, 1934, to parents Peter and Genevieve (nee Bucynski) Radeff in Cleveland, OH.Ernie graduated from West Tech and retired as a Machine Technician from Paulkner Vending. After retirement, he went on to deliver flowers for Jensen and was a member of the Grounds Crew for Hilliard Lakes Golf Club. Ernie enjoyed bowling and was the General of Ernie's Army bowling team; he was a member of the Avon Lake Hall of Fame for his time as a Football Referee and he was a founding member of the Umpire Association of Avon Lake. He enjoyed golfing at Sweetbriar, the Indians, Cowboy, and War movies. He was a Star Trek fan and loved his "Holy Water". Ernie was a funny guy with lots of colorful expressions. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.He is survived by his loving children: Dennis (Karen), Duane (Lynne), Daryl (Catherine), Cindy Malloy (James) and Darren; cherished grandchildren: Crystal (Mark), Shawn, Taylor (Adam), Jamie, Matthew, Michael, Michelle, Mandalinn (Todd), Kalenna, Desiree, Amber (John), Dugan, Rocky, Keegan (Amanda) and Chelsea; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and Dave Kendera, his good neighbor who was like a son to him.He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret; parents; Baby Mary; Granddaughter-in-law Gina Havasi and his brother, Peter (Shirley).Memorial contributions may be forwarded to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.orgFriends and family may call for a visitation on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, OH 44012. Ernie was my 1st cousin and he was so special to me . Ernie and I would viaSkype for hours ,but when it came 10pm he had to go and watch Hogan Hero´s he thought this was the best thing that he could see and talk to me . I will miss him very much. Rest in peace my dear cousin . Love you always Carolann xo
