Ernest Risner Obituary
Ernest "Ray" Risner, age 57, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home.
Ray was born November 25, 1967, in Lima, OH, to Ernest and Anna Fay (Gipson) Risner. On November 25, 2012, he married Carol M. (Snyder) Gipson.
Ray was an avid wrestling fan and enjoyed working with steel. His greatest joy was his family, he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Carol M. Gipson of Lima; two daughters: Samantha A. (Jason) Blair of Prestonsburg, KY, and Elizabeth J. Hanjora of Lima; dad: Ernest Risner Sr., of Lexington, KY; Son-in-law: Billy E. Gipson of Lima; nine grandchildren: Robert Gipson, Caroline Moats, Christopher "Pooh Bear" Orwig, Sarrie Moats, Kenneth "Pickle Boy" Griggs, William Moats, Lakken Osley, Brooklyn Cantrell, and Tallon Ford; two sisters: Margie Miller, and Anna "Pee Wee" Risner.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Fay Risner; daughter, Janice J. Gipson; sister, Phyllis Long; brother, Kash Gipson; brother-in-law, Delmer Miller; and in-laws, Dano and Nancy Snyder.
A visitation honoring Ray's life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
