Ernest L. "Hub" Roberts

Ernest "Hub" L. Roberts, age 87, of Tomah, WI, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Tomah VA Hospital. He was born October 27, 1938, and raised by his parents, Henry and EmmerDell.

He married Paulette Riffle on June 11, 1966, together they made their home in Tomah, WI. Hub worked at Cardinal Glass for many years. He had a dry sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. If you caught him on a good day and had a smart remark for him, you were sure to make a quick friend or at the very least an acquaintance to tell all your wise cracks to that you know would at least appreciate them. He enjoyed country music, reading and enjoying the simple things in life. An intelligent man who loved to share his knowledge, he will be missed by family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, James and Chad (Jane) Roberts; granddaughters, Haili and Emmerdel Roberts; along with many dear friends; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Paulette, brothers, Robert "Tine" Roberts, William "Billy" Roberts, and Victor Trappe.
