Ernest Lee Schlinker, 75, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away on May 21, 2019 in Fort Smith. He was born November 6, 1945 in Hackett, Arkansas to the late Odis Lee and Wilma J. (Love) Schlinker.
Ernie was a very loving and caring father. He was supportive to his family. He was always ready to tell you a good joke and share some laughs. He enjoyed fishing , old muscle cars, and had an adventurous side to him. Ernie had lived a very full life surrounded by his loved ones. He overcame many obstacles with fierce determination. He was a level headed , calm and collected man. His children know that he loved them. His was truly an exceptional man and father. He will be missed by so many family and friends.
Ernest is survived by three children; Tracy Campbell and husband Greg of Benton, Arkansas, Kelley Manning of Benton, Arkansas, Manuel Lee Schlinker of Greenwood, Arkansas, seven grandchildren; Jesse Williams, Stephanie Williams, Savannah Saunders, Reese Saunders, Greyson Manning, Leelan Schlinker, Layna Ebarb, one great-grandchild Brayden Williams. He is also survived by three siblings; Freida Parish, Robert "Bob" and wife Kathy Schlinker, Marion and husband Charlie Scott and by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday May 27, 2021 at Martin Funeral Home in Mansfield, AR.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday May 28, 2021 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with Rev. Richard Maness officiating. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of Martin Funeral Home in Mansfield, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Danny Parish, Nelton Henley, Manuel Schlinker, Roger Edwards, Lewis Edwards and Charlie Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joyce's Diner Crew.
