On Sunday, January 3, 1965, God allowed a special purpose to be born in South Boston, Virginia. This purpose was Ernest Everette Younger.
He was the youngest child of the late Earnest Younger and the late Elvira Moore Johns. He fulfilled his purpose here on Earth, and God called him to his eternal home on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 60.
Everette, or "E" as he was affectionately known, was baptized at an early age and became a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Brookneal, Virginia. God blessed him with wisdom and understanding. He graduated from William Campbell High School in 1983 and furthered his education at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. There he earned his degree that allowed him to teach and counsel.
After graduating, Everette began his professional career and became a successful entrepreneur in many fields, including:

Williamsburg, VAEverette was also blessed with the gift of music. He served as a Deacon and Minister of Music at Spring Hill Baptist Church. He also served at Organ Chapel Methodist Church, First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, and Cross Roads Baptist Church, all in Campbell County. Additionally, he served as Minister of Music at First Corinthians Baptist Church in Williamsburg, and was currently the Minister of Music at Union Baptist Church in Williamsburg.
He was a talented musician and singer who shared his gift with many groups, including:
The Sensational Harmoneers, Love of God Singers, Regeneration, Fear One, William Coleman and the B.C. Gospel Connection, Wing & A Prayer, The Rejoice Singers, The Frazier Brothers, and the N.A.A.C.P. MLK Jr. Mass Choir. Music was truly part of his spiritual DNA.
Everette was married twice. In his first union, he was blessed to become the father of two wonderful children: Atlas/Katrina Younger and Joseph Daniel Younger.
On August 23, 2014, he married the love of his life, LaQuetta Miller. A love like theirs was rare and everlasting. To this union were added two beautiful children whom he loved as his own, LaNyia Williams and Kayla Williams.
He his memory and legacy will forever remain with, his devoted wife, LaQuetta; children, Atlas, Joseph, LaNyia, Kayla, and Damian; sisters, Priscilla Lacy (Steve) and Rev. Brenda Yuille (Henry), both of Concord, VA; mother-in-law, Beverly Miller; sister-in-law, Zakeria Jefferson (Len) of
Williamsburg, VA; nephews, Roderick, Lawrence, Jonathan (Rachel), Zhaylen, and Khaza; nieces, Jennifer (Aubrey), Catherine, and Ashley; two great-nieces and one great-nephew; one uncle, Floyd Moore; two aunts, Marylin Randolph (Curtis) and Dorothy Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Everette was humble and kind and touched the lives of everyone he met. After every memorial, he would always say,
"And just like that, it's over and life goes on."
Everette's favorite scripture was - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
A service to celebrate E's life will be held at Noon on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Bethel Restoration Center, with a viewing beginning at 11:00 a.m.
