Ernie Cutshall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sparks Funeral Home - Grayson on Jan. 5, 2026.
Ernie Lee Cutshall 1951 - 2026 Ernie Lee Cutshall, 74, of Grayson went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 2, 2026 where she has experienced a glorious reunion with the loved ones who went before here. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on July 27, 1951 to the late Ellis and Ona Holland McComas. The youngest of fourteen children, Ernie carried with her a fierce and enduring love for family that shaped every part of her life. Being surrounded by and cooking for those she loved most was her greatest job, and her devotion to them was evident in both word and deed.
Ernie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She poured herself into caring for others, offering steady love, unrelenting strength, and unwavering loyalty. Her presence was a source of strength and stability to those who knew her, and her legacy lives on through the generations she so dearly cherished. She retired from the Carter County PVA office through the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Her work ethic and integrity reflected the values she lived by: faithfulness, diligence, and dependability.
A woman of faith, Ernie was a member of First Church of Christ in Grayson, Kentucky, and previously Carter Christian Church in Carter City, Kentucky. Her trust in Christ guided her life and gave her peace throughout life, a peace that now finds its fulfillment in eternity.
Ernie will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering strength, and her steadfast faith. While she will be deeply missed by those who remain, they rejoice in the assurance that she is now whole, at rest, and reunited with her loved ones in Heaven.
Ernie is survived by her husband, Ronald Cutshall, and a son, Ben (Kim) James of Grayson, and a granddaughter, Rachel (John) Angerer of Wahiawa, HI.
Per Ernie wishes, a memorial service will held in the spring.
