Ernie Trujillo, 65, passed away on September 11, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1959, in Ely, Nevada, to Reynel and Oralia Trujillo.
Ernie grew up in New Mexico and graduated from Española Valley High School. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Navy, where he received an honorable discharge. Following his military service, Ernie went on to build a long and successful career as a skilled electrician. His dedication and expertise left a lasting mark on every project he touched.
Beyond his work, Ernie’s true gift was the love and joy he shared with his family. He was the uncle who gave many of his nieces and nephews their first memorable experiences—whether it was a trip, an adventure, or simply a good laugh. His presence brought light and warmth to every gathering, and he will always be remembered for his generosity, humor, and unwavering love.
He was preceded in death by his father Reynel Trujillo, grandparents Luis and Celsa Trujillo and Emedardo and Sofia Lopez brother in law Daniel Jacquez.
Ernie is survived by his mother Oralia (Lala) Trujillo, siblings Elmer Trujillo (Loyola), Loretta Dannenbaum and Debbie Jacquez and his nieces and nephews who adored him, also beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and a wide circle of friends and loved ones.
A Funeral Mass will be held [ unknown at this time] to Celebrate Ernie’s Life and the love he shared with so many.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Salazar, Bill Weber, Justin Espinoza, Eric Lopez, Greg Lopez and Kenny Salazar.
Ernie’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
