Ernie Werner

BEULAVILLE - Ernest (Ernie) Earl Werner, Sr., 81, of Beulaville passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home, Richlands Chapel in Richlands with Rev. David Jarman officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at 2:00 PM at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Ernie was born in Amherst, Ohio. Ernie served his country honorably with the United States Marine Corps retired after 27 years with the rank of Sergeant Major. He went on to drive a flatbed for Howard Transportation out of Laurel, Mississippi for 10 years. Then fully retired to enjoy mowing his grass and spending time with his grandkids.
Ernie was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Vibeke Thomson Werner; parents, Harry and Evelyn Werner; his brother, Terry Werner; and two sisters, Fredia Denger and Barbara Smith.

He is survived by his two sons, Ernest E. Werner, Jr. of Beulaville and Christopher P. Werner and his wife, Kristina, of Richlands; his two brothers, Harry Werner, Jr. and Karl Werner, both of Ohio; and two very special people, his grandchildren: Devin T. Werner and Allie M. Werner.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 12, 2026 from 5 PM till 7 PM at the funeral home.
