Erol DeCambre

Erol DeCambre, lovingly known as Stevie, age 59, of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. Erol was born in London, England, to his loving parents, Hyacinth and Donald DeCambre, and later made his home in New Jersey.

Erol was a humble and compassionate soul who loved nature and had a deep affection for animals. In the early 1980s, he dedicated himself to breakdancing, expressing his creativity and love for movement. After coming to the United States, Erol poured his heart into music, learning to play the keyboard and bass guitar. Later in life, he took on construction work, where his dedication and skill was evident, and he proved to be just as capable in this craft as he was in his passions.

Erol is survived by his loving mother, Hyacinth, and his siblings, Dennis, Diane, and Michelle. He is remembered by his cherished grandson, Raphael, and his nephews, Dennis, Joshua, and Duane. Although Erol never had the chance to meet Raphael, his love for family was always strong, and he will be remembered by those who carry his memory. Erol will now be reunited in heaven with his son, Dean, bringing comfort to his family knowing they are together once again.
