Mark Steven Anderson was born on July 28, 1961, and transitioned to Glory to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was the fifth child born to the late Philip Nelson and ClaraJulia (Moore) Anderson. To family and close friends Mark was affectionately known as "Bleeko," a name given by his father. Mark was educated in the Plainfield school system and remained a resident of Plainfield until his passing.

From birth, Mark was known for his unique eyebrows that went up to a peak, like the character "Spock" on Star Trek. Mark was a kind, soft-spoken, and humble man, who was always willing to help someone in need. He was gifted with his hands and could repair almost anything. While he worked at various companiessuch as FedEx and JB Hunt during his lifetime, he was proud of establishing Anderson Atlantic Trucking business with his two brothers. Mark always had an entrepreneur's spirit andeventually became the sole proprietor of his own trucking business, MXA Trucking Services LLC. He was so proud of this accomplishment. Mark was a skilled truck driver and capable of and widely known for the ability to transport heavy loads with precision, quality, and trust.

Mark enjoyed all animals and was a great lover of dogs. He enjoyed watching tv programs about various animals, with a special interest in lions. Mark also loved music of all kinds from classical to the blues and rock. Along with his brothers, and his brother from another mother, the late Steven Evans, they created a band called "Storm." Mark played the drums, and they could be heard jamming at "648", his childhood home all hours of the night. To the very end of his life, you could find him listening to various classical artists streaming on YouTube. Markwas smart, intuitive, and always reading.

While all that Mark was able to achieve in life, accepting Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior was his anchor and greatest accomplishment. Although he made mistakes along the way, he knew that his loving Father was a forgiving God and loved him unconditional. Mark's desire was that everyone knew he loved them and was sorry for any hurt he may have caused in life. Mark's health challenge was a difficult journey, however he has now been healed and restored in Glory.

Mark is predeceased by his father, Philip Nelson Anderson, and his mother, Clara Julia (Moore) Anderson.

Mark leaves to cherish fond memories and to carry on his legacy: his beloved children, Mackenzie Shell (Jeff), Mark Steven Anderson JR., Samantha Anderson and Sabra Anderson, and granddaughter Jordyn Shell. In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Dr. Phyllis Anderson-Wright (Kevin), Lisa Edwards, Pastor Philip Nelson Anderson, Jr. (Irma), Deacon Valerie Anderson, Minister Richard Anderson (Nefatiti), his life partner of almost two decades, Debra Person, her children, and grandchildren, and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mark's earthly life journey is complete; he will be greatly missed. However, he has received his crown of glory and eternal rest. We love you Mark, and we will miss you dearly until we meet again!
