Dr. Errol J. Cady, DVM, was born to Merritt John and Florence Pauline (nee Cummings) in Troy, NY on January 2, 1941. He grew up on his parents' farm. After his parents divorced, his mother married Anthony Paladino, and Errol gained an older sister Patricia and a younger brother Walter "Bud". Errol graduated from Hoosic Valley Central School in 1959 and enrolled in the Agricultural program at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. D. Nicole (nee Duran) Cady was also born in Troy, NY to Edward H. and Ida Mae (nee Grabo) Duran on November 18, 1942, joining her older brother Noel. Nicole participated in 4-H for seven years. Her introduction to fashion took place in her mother's accessory shop in Troy. After graduating from Lansingburgh High School, she began a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics at Cornell University. Errol and Nicole were married July 21, 1962, but they continued their educational programs with Nicole graduating in 1964 and Errol completing the Veterinary Medicine program in 1966. Errol's first jobs in the field included racetrack work in Maryland and New Jersey. Lisa was born in 1967 in Maryland. While working in Freehold they discovered Mount Holly and decided to put down roots. Marne Veterinary Clinic was started in 1974, which Errol continued until retirement. Although Nicole assisted in the veterinary practice office, her primary focus was as a homemaker. Both Errol and Nicole joined the First Presbyterian Church in 1971 and 1970, respectively, and remained active until their health declined. Their home was the meeting place for the senior high youth for several years. Both were ordained elders and Nicole also was an ordained deacon. There is probably not a room in the church which Errol did not improve in some way. He also was a leader in the conversion of Samuel Miller School into a senior living facility and the renovations of the building at 35 Garden Street which the congregation owned from 1990 through 2007. Nicole was a leader in the congregational care ministry; she shared her gifts of listening, encouragement and prayer as she served part-time on the church staff. Both Errol and Nicole sang in the choir throughout their lives and made many close friends as a result. In their retirement years, Errol and Nicole generously gave their time, talents, prayers and love to family and friends. The couple is survived by their daughter Lisa Judy, her husband John, and their daughters Alexis and Jessica. Errol is also survived by his sister Patricia Search, brother Walter and his wife Debbie Paladino, and half-brother Mark Cady. Nicole is survived by her brother Noel and his wife Jane Duran. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 125 Garden St.,
